Lawrence Reznik collection 1954-1996 [manuscript]

The Lawrence Reznik collection is housed in one box. The collection is arranged in four series, Lawrence Reznik, Lawrence Reznik and Rochelle Reznik Blumenfeld, Rochelle Blumenfeld and miscellaneous. The materials consist of B'nai Israel publications that contain the artwork created by Lawrence Reznik and his daughter Rochelle Blumenfeld. There are some original sketches by Mr. Reznik and a newpaper photocopy on the closing of B'nai Israel synangogue.

Lawrence Reznik was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 1, 1911 and died in 2003. He studied at Carnegie Technical Institute and worked as a sign painter before joining the family business in the 1940s. He maintained a home studio where he created signs and artwork for the B'nai Israel Congregation and local Jewish organizations.His daughter, Rochelle, was born in 1936. She attgended Carnegie Technical Institute in 1954 and was married the following year. She attended a painting workshop ...
